Lignano: A sea of enjoyment

Fun is everywhere. But above all at the theme parks. Aquasplash , among the first water parks in Italy, with dizzying chutes and large pools. Gulliverlandia , the fun park devised for all ages. Marano is reached by batana, the flat-bottomed lagoon boat, or by bike. Here you will breathe the genuine atmosphere of a fishing village, where they still speak Venetian dialect. From here, across the water, you can reach the Stella Estuary Nature Reserve : the persuasive light of the lagoon colours a kingdom populated with herons and swamp falcons among many other creatures. And this is the prelude to a village of "casoni" engulfed in enchantment.

Take a day or an afternoon to adventure into the hinterland to alternate the flavour of seaside cooking with that of tasty Friuli cuisine .
The cuisine in FVG is made of thousands of crossing and overlapping flavours, it varies as the landscapes of these lands, and comes from the union of three great culinary traditions. Special mention has to be made of San Daniele ham , famous and exported all over the world, Montasio cheese, whose origin and quality are guaranteed by an authentic label, and Frico.
